In September 2023, the Dutch yacht market saw the introduction of 27 new yachts for sale, consisting of 24 motor yachts and 3 sailing yachts.
The highest priced yacht amongst the new listings is the 72.8m my PREDATOR built by Feadship and asking €79.000.000, while the largest Dutch-built yacht presented for sale in September 2023 was with 83.5m, SAVANNAH, also built by Feadship, with an asking price on request.
On the other end of the spectrum, the 20m Van der Valk Shipyard motor yacht MULLE was the least expensive new listing with an asking price of €379.500,and the shortest addition was the Pacific Shipyards my PLAN B with 18.6m.
The shipyard with the most new listings this month was once again Feadship, with 7 of their yachts newly listed for sale.
From the 18 Dutch-built yachts that came to the market in September, 4 yachts had a length between 18 and 24 meters, 2 yachts between 24 and 30 meters, 11 yachts between 30 and 50 meters, 8 yachts between50 and 70 meters, and 2 yachts larger than 70 meters.
When we compare this month to last month’s numbers, we see an increase of 92,9% in the number of new listings.
In September 2023, a total of 6 Dutch-built yachts were sold, all motor yachts. Compared to August the amount of sales has stayed the same.
The largest yacht sold this month was the 61 meter Feadship my SAMADHI. She was sold after 97 days on the market with an asking price of €42.500.000, which stayed the same throughout the whole sales period.
The least expensive yacht sold was the 21 meter Super Van Craft my KRAAIJENEST II, which had a final asking price of €495.000 and was on the market for 337 days. During that period she has received 1 price reduction and her final asking price was 90.8% of its original asking price of €545.000.
On average, the yachts sold in September 2023 were on the market for 609 days. The longest sale of last month was the 19.3 meter Jetten Jachtbouw my JETTEN 62. She was on the market for 1151 days, over 3 years, with a final asking price of €1.400.000. During that period she has received 6 price reductions and her final asking price was 63.6% of its original asking price of €2.200.000.
The Dutch-built yachts market received a total of €61.177.120 in sales last month. The yachts still had a value of 89.9% of their first asking price.
There are 4 yachts under offer this month, 3 motor yachts and 1 sailing yacht.
The smallest yacht under offer is the 19.5m Pacific Shipyards my GOUDEN LEEUW. The yacht has been offered for sale since July 2021 and had a last asking price of €595.000. She has received 1 price reduction and her final asking price was 85.6% of her initial asking price of €695.000.
The largest yacht currently under offer is still the 55m Heesen my RELIANCE. RELIANCE has been on the market since October 2022, with an asking price of €54.000.000.
In September 2023 there were 9 yachts withdrawn from the market, all motor yachts.
The yacht that had been available for the longest period was 91.5 meter my TRANQUILITY built by Oceanco. TRANQUILITY was listed for sale since August 2020 with an initial asking price of €149.900.000. She was on the market for 1136 days, a little more than 3 years.
On the first of October, the Dutch-built yacht market boasts 309 vessels for sale, of which 226 motor yachts and 83 sailing yachts.
Out of 1163 Dutch-built motor yachts over 18m in our database, 19.4% are currently offered for sale, and out of 411 sailing yachts, 20.2% are currently available for purchase.
Presently the largest sailing yacht available for purchase is still the 86m Oceanco AQUIJO. AQUIJO’s asking price is available on request and she has been listed for sale on the January 10th of this year.
The largest motor yacht available on the market is the 88.5 meter Oceanco my CLOUD 9. This vessel has been for sale for 256 days with an asking price of €155.000.000.
At the other end of the spectrum, the smallest available yacht is the 18 meter my SUNSET, built by Van der Valk Shipyard. SUNSET is currently being offered with an asking price of €785.000 and has been listed for sale since August 2023.
Compared to the previous month, we can see an incredible increase in the number of yachts entering the market and price reductions. The amount of yachts being sold on the other hand have remained the same. The increase in yachts entering the market can be attributed to the large yacht shows held last month and will most likely stabilize in the coming month.
