William Gardner

The first attention attracted to William Gardner, was by the wonderful qualities of the schooner Atlantic, which won the famous race across the ocean of the same name, in 1905. While this race may have brought Mr Gardner popular recognition, it was the performance of his smaller yachts that stamped him as one of the leading naval architects of the world.
