First look at Moonen 122 Martinique YN206
During the Palm Beach International Boat Show, taking place between March 19th and March 23rd along Flagler Drive in downtown West Palm Beach Florida, Moonen Yachts and IYC have disclosed the first details of the eighth in-build Moonen 122 Martinique YN206. Scheduled for delivery in September 2025, YN206 is currently offered for sale with Richard Gray and Matthew Stone of IYC.
This Moonen Martinique 122 fast-displacement yacht is built after an exterior design by René van der Velden Design and naval architecture by Diana Yacht Design. Remarkably, YN206 is the first Martinique featuring an interior design by Vripack Yacht Design, yet this marks their fourth collaboration. As elucidated by Vripack co-creative director Marnix Hoekstra, Vripack was given the creative freedom to create an original interior concept for the eighth Moonen in the renowned 122 Martinique series. Moreover, this celebration of shared Dutch heritage between Moonen and Vripack resulted in a distinctively creative interior, leading to a deeply personal experience consecutively.
Specifically, her unique interior can accommodate up to 12 guests across a 5 stateroom configuration, each boasting luxurious amenities. Furthermore, 4 additional cabins can be used as preferred, for instance for crew member accommodation to further simplify yacht handling. Notably, YN206 stands out from previous models due to the aft-facing king-size bed in the magnificent owner's suite. As a result, the owners can enjoy clear sight lines out to sea when they wake up, which further enhances the luxury yacht experience on board.
The yacht's design, resulting from hand sketching techniques and the use of artificial intelligence, is based on three materials: wood, leather and brass, with a related color scheme of light taupe and grey. Furthermore, several details including a Delf-ware inspired mural on the dining room wall also pay homage to the Netherlands.
Furthermore, with regard to her performance, YN206 is powered by twin 1927Hp Caterpillar diesel engines that facilitate a cruising speed of 14.5 knots and a top speed of 17 knots. Moreover, when cruising at a spreed of 10 knots, she features a cruising range of 4000 Nautical miles, and YN206 is equipped to combine relaxed cruising and serious sailing in abundant weather conditions and under minimal effort.
Concludingly, YN206 will boast a sophisticated design radiating luxury and comfort. Moreover, upon her delivery in unimaginable condition, she will be beyond ready to facilitate extensive travels while safeguarding the ultimate luxury yacht experience on board.
