Heesen 57m Heesen project AKIRA update

Heesen is pleased to announce the hull and superstructure of Project AKIRA. Construction is therefore fully on schedule, meaning that the yacht can be delivered in time for the summer of 2024. Project AKIRA was first revealed at the 2019 Monaco Yacht Show, she is the first in a new class of high-speed aluminum Heesen yachts.

The exterior is designed by Omega Architects, she features a "shapely silhouette" with an "elongated profile" and a new "scoop-shaped stern", according to the yard. The key focus of the exterior design is extensive structural and decorative glass.  

The interior comes from Harrison Eidsgaard. Ben Harrison said: "The whole premise of the design is about the view - indoor-outdoor living is the primary driver."

She can accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 cabins, including an owner's stateroom. She can allow 13 crew.

Project AKIRA is powered by twin IMO III-compliant MTU engines for a top speed of 22 knots and range of 4,400 nautical miles at 12 knots.
