Feadship 92m motor yacht ROYAL ROMANCE will be offered for auction after being seized in Croatia earlier this year.
A couple of weeks ago, representatives of the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) inspected the yacht belonging to the family members of a people's deputy and one of the leaders of a political force banned in Ukraine.
ARMA is a special branch of the Ukrainian government tasked with finding, tracing and management of assets derived from corruption.
According to a statement put out by ARMA, the employees of the National Agency held "a number of meetings and negotiations with representatives of the port, local law enforcement agencies and the Ministry of Justice of Croatia. As a result, ARMA specialists managed to conduct a visual inspection of the asset and take photos of it in the city of Trogir."
It further states that representatives of ARMA searched the yacht "within the framework of the criminal proceedings and subsequently, after imposing the arrest, received the elite property to preserve the economic value by selling it at auctions."
