The history of Dutch shipyard Akerboom dates back to 1860. Quality and durability are Akerboom’s hallmark and the yard always had a strong feeling about craftsmanship. Each of their products has been designed and engineered, then produced, assembled and fitted with the greatest care.
After the Second World War, Akerboom, together with Royal Van Lent and Royal De Vries Scheepsbouw, formed Feadaship. The name Feadship has become a worldwide guarantee for superior quality yachts.
In 1986 the yard became a full subsidiary of Royal De Vries Scheepsbouw, and started focussing on building deckhouses, yacht equipment and propeller shafts for luxury yachts.
