NEW FOR SALE | March 2025
In March 2025, the Dutch yacht sales market saw the introduction of 18 new yachts for sale, 15 motor yachts and 3 sailing yachts.
The largest Dutch-built yacht amongst the new listings was the 55.5m motor yacht GENE CHASER built by Damen Yachting and asking €25.700.000. The highest priced yacht was the 49.5m new-built motor yacht PROJECT FUN by Feadship and asking €65.000.000.
On the other end of the spectrum, the 18.6m Steeler Yachts motor yacht KWINTEBANK was the shortest new listing with an asking price on request. The least expensive yacht was the 19.8m motor yacht ROTA II built by Akerboom with anasking price of €380.000.
The largest sailing yacht listed for sale this month is the 54.86m MARIE built by Vitters Shipyard and asking €25.950.000.
The shipyards with the most new listings this month were Moonen Yachts and Feadship with 3 of their yachts newly listed for sale.
From the 18 Dutch-built yachts that came to the market in March, 6 yachts had a lengthbetween 18 and 24 meters, 4 yachts between 24 and 30 meters, 2 yachts between 30 and 40 meters, 4 yachts between 40 and 50 meters, and 2 yachts between 50 and 60 meters.
When we compare this month to last month’s numbers, we see that the amount of new listings saw a significant increase of 63,6%. Compared to March last year, there was an increase of 28,6% in yachts entering the market.
SOLD | March 2025
In March 2025, a total of 8 Dutch-built yachts were sold, 8 motor yachts and 2 sailing yachts. Compared to February the amount of sales saw an increase of 60%.
The largest yacht sold this month was the 55.47m Feadship ILLUSION I. She was sold after being on the market for 468 days with a last asking price of €7.950.000, which was still 88,8% of her first asking price. The most expensive yacht sold was the 49.98 meter new-built Heesen motor yacht PROJECT ORION. She was sold after 909 days, 2.5 years, on the market. During that period she had received 1 price increase and her final asking price was 100,9% of its original asking price of €45.500.000.
The shortest and one of the least expensive yachts sold in March was the 19.15m sailing yacht ZOE built by Bloemsma Aluminiumbouw. She was sold after 1031 days, almost 3 years, on the market after entering the market in June 2022 with an asking price of €1.850.000. During her time for sale, she had received 1 price reduction of 8,4%.
The yacht that was offered for sale the longest in March was the 44.9m Royal Hakvoort motor yacht BIG EASY. She first entered the market in May 2022 with an initial asking price of $16.999.999. She was sold after 1049days, almost 3 years, on the market. During her time for sale she received 4 price changes and her final asking price was 81,8% of her first asking price.
On average, the yachts sold in March were on the market for 722 days and still had a value of 83,4% of their first asking price. Compared to March 2024, we can see a decrease of 20% in yachts being sold.
PRICE CHANGES | March 2025
Last month 31 Dutch-built yacht listings received a price change, 24 motor yachts and 7 sailing yachts. Compared to February we see an impressive increase of 47,6% in price changes. Looking back at last year, there was an increase of 6,9% in price changes in March 2025.
One of the highest priced and the largest yacht that received a price change this month was the 60m Amels MOONSTONE. The motor yacht is currently asking €64.500.000, after receiving a €10.400.000, 13,9%, price reduction this month. This is her second price change since she entered the market in February 2024.
One of the largest price reductions this month has been for the 18.5m Van der Heijden Yachts motor yacht TIMELESS. She is on the market since December 2021, starting with an asking price of €1.300.000. She has received a total of 7 price reductions of in total 46,9% since then.
The largest sailing yacht receiving a price reduction this month was the 29.45m SCORPIUS, built by Jongert Yachts. The sailing yacht is currently asking €990.000, after receiving a €760.000, 43,4%, price reduction earlier this month. SCORPIUS has been listed for sale 4070 days, since February 2014. Her current asking price is just 33,6% of her initial asking price of €2.950.000.
On average, the yachts had a price change of -9,9% this month and received their first price reduction after 409 days on the market. The 32.6m motor yacht LA GRANDE DAME, built by Scheepswerf De Beer in 1962, has received a total of 3 price changes since she entered the market in January 2018. Her first price change was an increase of €1.200.000, 80%, in June 2023. Earlier this month she received a price reduction of €200.000 (8,2%).
CURRENTLY FOR SALE | April 2025
On the first of April, the Dutch-built yacht market boasts 349 vessels for sale, of which 260 motor yachts and 89 sailing yachts.
Out of 1218 Dutch-built motor yachts over 18m in our database, 21,4% are currently offered for sale, and out of 418 sailing yachts, 21,3% are currently available for purchase.
Currently one of the largest sailing yachts available for purchase is the 56.18m Royal Huisman APSARA. Her asking price is €52.000.000 and she has been listed for sale since February 2025.
One of the largest motor yachts available on the market is the 105m Oceanco H3. This vessel has been listed for sale for 277 days with an asking price of €295.000.000.
At the other end of the spectrum, one of the smallest available yachts is the 18.42m motor yacht MENTAL FLOSS, built by Holterman Shipyard. MENTAL FLOSS is currently being offered for sale with an asking price of €1.195.000, and has been listed for sale since December 2024, after she was withdrawn from the market in February 2023.
This month in numbers
Compared to the previous month, we can see a significant increase in the overall Dutch-built yacht market activity. The amount of yachts entering the market, yacht sales and price changes all saw increases. Compared to 2024, the overall market has seen an increase in yachts entering the market and price changes, but a slight decrease in sales.
