Van der Valk Project 111.11 launched and named ONE

Known during her build as Project 111.11, this latest addition to the bespoke Van der Valk fleet is a true testament to experience. The rich knowledge of owners who have spent over three decades on the water and the proven performance offered by the full displacement reinforced all-aluminium hull pioneered on our very own Lady Lene.

The clients came to us in early 2022 with a design for a 37-metre yacht and in-depth discussions led to a request that Van der Valk suggest a size that would accommodate their key wishes for five suites, a sky lounge, and main salon, and a multifunctional beach club/tender garage in the stern.

The cost and time efficiencies provided by our solution allowed the owners to completely model the superstructure of ONE to their personal preferences, including installing Volvo Penta 750 hp continuous duty commercial engines. They also sat down with Guido de Groot to create a fresh exterior design and, as you can see in the video, the challenging desire to have four decks of entertainment facilities on a 34-metre yacht has been accommodated exceptionally well. ONE also has a carte blanche interior from the boards of Carla Guilhem Design, blending a futuristic feel with super-smooth rounded shapes and a monochrome look.

The next two weeks will see the final outfitting of ONE, the commissioning of all her systems and the initial river trips. A full shakedown trial is then planned for July that will see the new yacht put through her paces on the North Sea. We look forward to sharing more images and details in due course.
