The June sales report

Welcome to the Yachtsnl June sales report, where we turn our attention to Dutch-built yachts over 18 meters! In this report, we present an extensive and detailed analysis of the latest market trends and insights, derived from the most recent sales data from the previous month. NEW FOR SALE | June 2023

In June 2023, the Dutch yacht market saw the introduction of 17 new yachts for sale, consisting of 16 motor yachts and just 1 sailing yacht.

The highest priced and largest yacht amongst the new listings is the 76m my PROJECT 825, which is currently being built by Feadship and asking €169.500.000.

On the other end of the spectrum, the 19.5m Spiro motor yacht TROLL was the least expensive new listing with an asking price of €415.000, and the shortest addition was the Cammenga my HUNTER with 18.6m.

The shipyard with the most new listings this month was once again Feadship, with 3 of their yachts newly listed for sale, of which are 2 new-built projects.

From the 17 Dutch-built yachts that came to the market in June, 8 yachts had a length between 18 and 24 meters, 3 yachts between 24 and 30 meters, 3 yachts between 30 and 50 meters, and the other 3 were larger than 60 meters.

When we compare this month to last month’s numbers, we see another increase of 41,7% in the number of new listings.

SOLD | June 2023

In June 2023, a total of 8 Dutch-built yachts were sold, of which all were motor yachts. Most of these sales took place in the second half of the month. Compared to May we see a slight decrease in the amount of sales.

The largest yacht sold this month was the 60.4 meter Feadship my ROCK.IT. She was sold after 799 days on the market and received 2 price reductions during that time. Its final asking price was $44.900.000, which was roughly 78.5% of its original asking price of €52.500.000.

The least expensive yacht sold was the 26.4 meter Lowland Yachts OLINDIA (now renamed LUCY MARY), which had an asking price of €1.175.000 and was on the market for 1547 days. During that period she has received 6 price reductions and her final asking price was 87.1% of its original asking price of €1.350.000.

On average, the yachts sold in June 2023 were on the market for 663 days. The quickest sale of last month was the 46.22 meter Feadship LADY MAY. She was on the market for only 63 days with an asking price of $26.500.000. The yacht had previously been offered for sale in 2016, but was withdrawn from the market in 2021 before entering the market again in April this year.

The Dutch-built yachts market received a total of €144.383.767 in sales last month. The yachts still had a value of 88.1% of their first asking price.

UNDER OFFER | June 2023

There are 7 yachts under offer this month, all motor yachts.

The smallest yacht under offer is the 19.3m Van den Berg Shipyard my MARE-N. The yacht has been offered for sale since February 2022 and had a last asking price of €785.000.

The largest yacht currently under offer is still the 55m Heesen my RELIANCE. RELIANCE has been on the market since October 2022, with an asking price of €54.000.000.

YACHTS WITHDRAWN | June 2023

In June 2023 we see that 4 yachts have been withdrawn from the market, all motor yachts.

The yacht that had been available for the longest period was my LADY CHARLOTTE built by Feadship. LADY CHARLOTTE was listed for sale since April 2022 with an initial asking price of €17.500.000. After 433 days, a little more than a year, on the market and 1 price reduction, LADY CHARLOTTE’s final asking price was set at €16.950.000, representing a decrease of only roughly 3.1% from its original price.

CURRENTLY FOR SALE | June 2023

On the first of July, the Dutch-built yacht market boasts 288 vessels for sale, of which 208 motor yachts and 80 sailing yachts.

Out of 1137 Dutch-built motor yachts over 18m in our database, 18.3% are currently offered for sale, and out of 405 sailing yachts, 19.8% are currently available for purchase.

Presently the largest sailing yacht available for purchase is still the 86m Oceanco AQUIJO. AQUIJO’s asking price is available on request and she has been listed for sale on the January 10th of this year.

The largest motor yacht available on the market is also still the towering 91,5 meter Oceanco my TRANQUILITY. This vessel has been for sale for 1.046 days with an asking price of €149.900.000.

At the other end of the spectrum, the smallest available yacht is the 18 meter sy WHITEFLY, built by Royal Huisman Shipyard. WHITEFLY is currently being offered with an asking price of €390.000 and has been listed for sale since March this year.

Compared to the previous month, we can see an increase in the number of yachts entering the market. The amount of price changes and yachts sold on the other hand are less than in May. Besides this, there is also still a large selection of yachts currently under offer, indicating a potential ongoing increase in sales numbers for the coming month.

These figures indicate the commencement of the summer season, with the final deals being concluded before its official start.
