She is built in aluminium by Heesen Yachts in 2007 after an exterior design by Omega Architects and naval architecture by Heesen Yachts.

Her modern and spacious interior designed by Omega Architects includes a full-beam master cabin on the main deck with a study and full beam bathroom, and four guest cabins with their own en-suite bathroom. For the crew, there are 5 berths in 4 cabins. The spacious salon offers various areas for dining and relaxing.
The bridge deck features a sky lounge with bar, game table and seating. SEDATION A also offers great dining and seating areas on the aft and sun deck. A teak bar is located amidship and a Jacuzzi aft with a hydraulic cover that provides shade when up and creates a cover for the Jacuzzi.
