Latest Amels 80 arrives in Vlissingen for outfitting

Latest Amels 80, PROJECT 8002, has made a successful crossing from Romania to the Netherlands. After departing from Damen Yachting's hull-building facility in Galatz, Romania, on August 5, the 80-meter Amels Limited Edition arrived in Vlissingen, where she joins her sister vessel, which is already in the process of being outfitted.

PROJECT 8002 is built in steel, and she will feature an exterior design by Espen Oeino International and naval architecture by Damen Yachting. Her equipment on board facilitates a cruising speed of 12 knots and a top speed of 16.6 knots. Moreover, PROJECT 8002 is characterized by a cruising range of 5000 Nautical miles, and she will be equipped to combine relaxed cruising and serious sailing under abundant weather conditions.

Her modern and welcoming interior, after a design by JQB Yacht Design, will accommodate up to 14 guests across 7 capacious staterooms, each with convenient facilities. Furthermore, 10 additional cabins can be used by her owners as preferred, for instance for crew member accommodation to simplify yacht handling and increase the luxury yacht experience.

Like the first hull of this successful Amels design, the second yacht will now undergo outfitting in Vlissingen, ahead of her delivery to her Owner. This addition to the Amels Limited Edition series continues the tradition of combining customization, proven technology, and efficiency, which has captivated a diverse range of Owners.

"We are thrilled to commence the outfitting phase for this new Amels 80, which arrived from our Galatz shipyard in Romania", says Jan van Hogerwou, Damen Yachting's Commercial Executive. "This is an exciting step towards delivering another exceptional yacht on schedule for May 2026."
