LUMIÈRE, the new 37.8m (124ft) Moonen delivered in June 2024, has been spotted in Sardinia during her first summer season in the Mediterranean. Pictured at anchor by yacht photographer Charl van Rooy, the yacht is bathed in a golden haze, basking in the Italian sun. Her Australian owners joined LUMIÈRE for their first season on board.
The owners stated that “We commend Moonen and the extended team, on delivering what I can only describe as an exceptional vessel. After her delivery to Mallorca from the Netherlands we stepped aboard and spent 4 weeks cruising with various family groups and the odd friend. Without exception every person who stepped aboard was amazed with the quality of finishes and level of comfort. It exceeded all expectations.
It was wonderful to see 4 Moonen Martinique yachts berthed in Port Adriano. They truly were the finest in Port.”
LUMIÈRE is the fifth yacht from Moonen’s premium Martinique design, which is renowned for its fast-displacement long-range capability, well-balanced indoor-outdoor living and high level of unrivalled customisation. LUMIÈRE’s owners were closely involved in the two-year build of the yacht. Their custom requests included an extended Sun Deck and large jacuzzi pool, an extended Swim Platform and a bespoke interior design created in collaboration with Studio Indigo.
The Captain commented that “It's very comforting to know you are on a Moonen, where safety in quality makes the difference” and added that the Moonen Martinique “is simply the best in her size range.”
Built with a high tensile steel hull and aluminium superstructure, LUMIÈRE has a maximum speed of 17 knots and a range of 4,000 nautical miles cruising at 10 knots. Her spacious interior volume at 345 Gross Tonnage includes accommodation with five cabins for up to 12 guests and 7 crew.
The Moonen team congratulates the owners on their inaugural summer season in the Med and wishes them many more happy seasons on board LUMIÈRE with their family and friends.
