ITHAKA is the last and unbeatable nr. 1 of the successful Jongert semi-custom 2700M series and unmistakable proof of the outstanding Dutch yacht building and design craftsmanship. With the insight of her forerunners the owner and Jongert team fine-tuned and restyled the design to the latest standards.
Resulting in an optimized and safe deck layout, free walk gangways. Genoa and staysail sheet under decks. Integrated mainsail traveller and captive winches beneath deck. Maximized open air seat and aft sundeck aft comfort. Ergonomic seat comfort and luxury all weather deck-house / lounge.
Moreover, hydro-naval architect and world-wide renowned specialist Van Oossanen designed an ingenious wing keel with minimum draft and elliptic balance rudder, to reduce draft and to allow a well balanced taller rig and ideal yacht’s trim.
Resulting in carbon mast and carbon mainsail furl-in boom ease sail handling. Optimizing the yacht’s stability especially while at anchor and anchoring in shallow bays. Superior sailing performance and highly regatta competitive from the lightest breeze. A yacht that can be easily sailed with a minimum of crew or solely the owners family.
