Facebook founder and globally renowned businessman Mark Zuckerberg is the rumored new owner of the newly delivered Feadship LAUNCHPAD and recently sold Damen Yachting support vessel DAPPLE. This would mark the first superyacht ever bought by Mark Zuckerberg, despite his unimaginable capital.
LAUNCHPAD is a Feadship custom-built 118 meter superyacht, built after an exterior design by Espen Oeino International and naval architecture by De Voogt Naval Architects, and she was delivered very recently. Furthermore, LAUNCHPAD features a capacious interior with ever-lasting luxury on board, yet further details have been kept mostly confidential.
LAUNCHPAD does have a controversial back story, as she was originally built for Russian oligarch Vladimir Potanin, who is on multiple sanctions lists. Consecutively, upon completion, Feadship could not deliver LAUNCHPAD to the oligarch due to legal restrictions.
Furthermore, rumors also state that Zuckerberg has purchased a shadow vessel to go with the Feadship superyacht: Damen Yachting support vessel DAPPLE. This 67 meter Amels Sea Axe 219 was built in 2014, after an exterior design and naval architecture by Damen Yachting. As a superyacht explorer, she features a capacious and welcoming layout, with abundant luxurious amenities and up-to-date equipment and an impressive cruising range.
Hence, if rumors are right, Zuckerberg will soon own two new 'toys' worth $330 million, where DAPPLE is believed to be the wingman of the largest Feadship superyacht built thus far.
