The January Dutch yacht sales report

NEW FOR SALE | January 2025

In January 2025, the Dutch yacht sales market saw the introduction of 12 new yachts for sale, 9 motor yachts and 3 sailing yachts. 

The highest priced and largest Dutch-built yacht amongst the new listings is the 90m motor yacht DREAMBOAT built by Oceanco and asking €195.000.000.

On the other end of the spectrum, the 26.6m Jongert Yachts sailing yacht IBERO III was the shortest and least expensive new listing with an asking price of €1.150.000.

The largest sailing yacht listed for sale this month is the 58.15m NGONI built by Royal Huisman and asking €38.500.000.

The shipyard with the most new listings this month was Heesenwith 3 of their yachts newly listed for sale. 

From the 12 Dutch-built yachts that came to the market in January, yachts had a lengthbetween 24 and 30 meters, 2 yachts between 30 and 40 meters, 1 yacht between 40 and 50 meters, yachts between 50 and 60 meters, yacht between 60 and 70 meters, andyachts larger than 70 meters.

When we compare this month to last month’s numbers, we see an increase of 20% in the number of new listings. Compared to January last year, there was a significant increase of 71,4% in yachts entering the market.

SOLD | January 2025

In January 2025, a total of 5 Dutch-built yachts were sold, 3 motor yachts and sailing yachts. Compared to December the amount of sales saw a significant decrease of 58,3%.

The largest motor yacht sold this month was the 36.45m Feadship LADY VICTORIA. She was sold after being on the market for 2034 days, or 5.5 years, with a last asking price of $6.450.000, which was still 92,8% of her first asking price.

The shortest and least expensive yachts sold in January 2025 was the 18.8m motor yacht TIKY built by Feadship. She was sold after 2066 days on the market after entering the market in May 2019 with an asking price of €1.300.000. During her time for sale, she received 2 price reductions of in total 40,4%.

The yacht that was offered for sale the longest in January was the 46.1m Jongert Yachts sailing yacht WELLENREITER. She first entered the market in February 2005 with an initial asking price of €17.500.000 and was withdrawn a year later. She re-entered the market again in March 2008 with an asking price of €14.900.000. She was finally sold after 6149 days, almost 17 years, on the market. During her time for sale she received 4 price reductions and her final asking price was 46,6% of her first asking price. 

On average, the yachts sold in January 2025 were on the market for 2336 days and still had a value of 74,4% of their first asking price. Compared to January 2024, we can see an increase of 25% in yachts being sold.

PRICE CHANGES | January 2025

Last month 27 Dutch-built yacht listings received a price change, 21 motor yachts and 6 sailing yachts. Compared to December we see an impressive increase of 145,5% in price changes. Looking back at last year, there was an increase of 125% in price changes in January 2025.

The highest priced and largest yachts that received a price change this month was the 90m Oceanco LUNA. The motor yacht is currently asking €218.000.000, after receiving a €10.000.000, 4,8%, price increase this month. This is her first price change since she entered the market in March 2024.

The largest price reduction this month has been for the 33.4m Jongert Yachts sailing yacht LADY SUNSHINE. She is on the market since July 2023, starting with an asking price of €4.900.000. She received her first 44,9% price reduction of €2.200.000 this month. 

On average, the yachts had a price change of -12.6% this month and received their first price reduction after 576 days on the market. The 19m motor yacht HADDOCK, built by Feadship in 1962, has received a total of 4 price changes and was offered for auction 2 times since entering the market in October 2010. She was offered for auction for the first time in October 2024, 14 years after entering the market. After this auction failed, HADDOCK was offered for sale again for €280.000 and received a price increase of €115.000 (41,1%). In January 2025 she has been offered for auction again asking the highest bid over €100.000. 

CURRENTLY FOR SALE | February 2025

On the first of February, the Dutch-built yacht market boasts 338 vessels for sale, of which 251 motor yachts and 87 sailing yachts.

Out of 1212 Dutch-built motor yachts over 18m in our database, 20,7% are currently offered for sale, and out of 418 sailing yachts, 20,8% are currently available for purchase.

Currently the largest sailing yachts available for purchase is the 52.5m Vitters Shipyard ANNE. Her asking price is €23.000.000 and she has been listed for sale since September 2024.

One of the largestmotor yachts available on the market is the 105m Oceanco H3. This vessel has been listed for sale for 218 days with an asking price of €295.000.000.

At the other end of the spectrum, one of the smallest available yachts is the 18.05m motor yacht OYSTER, built by Mulder Shipyard. OYSTER is currently being offered for sale with an asking price of €895.000, and has been listed for sale since July 2023.

This month in numbers

Compared to the previous month, we can see an increase in yachts entering the market and an impressive increase in the amount of price changes. The number of sales however saw a significant decrease compared to last month. Compared to 2024, the overall market has seen an increase in sales activity, which signifies a hopefully positive trend for the first quarter of 2025.
