NEW FOR SALE | July 2023

In July 2023, the Dutch yacht market saw the introduction of 18 new yachts for sale, consisting of 14 motor yachts and 4 sailing yachts. 

The highest priced yacht amongst the new listings is the 67m my SPARTA built by Heesen and asking €99.000.000, while the largest Dutch-built yacht presented for sale in July 2023 was with 80m, AALTO, built by Oceanco.

On the other end of the spectrum, the 18.6m Van der Valk motor yacht LIBERTY was the least expensive new listing with an asking price of €599.000, and the shortest addition was the Mulder Shipyard my OYSTER with 18.05m.

The shipyard with the most new listings this month were Feadship, Heesen, Mulder Shipyard, Van der Valk Shipyard, and Jongert Yachts, with 2 of their yachts newly listed for sale.

From the 18 Dutch-built yachts that came to the market in July, yachts had a length between 18 and 24 meters, yachts between 24 and 30 meters, 5 yachts between 30 and 50 meters, and the other 2 were larger than 60 meters.

When we compare this month to last month’s numbers, we see an increase of 5,6% in the number of new listings.

SOLD | July 2023

In July 2023, a total of 9 Dutch-built yachts were sold, of which 6 were motor yachts and were sailing yachts. Compared to June we see a slight increase in the amount of sales.

The largest yacht sold this month was the 71.76 meter Feadship new-built my PROJECT SAKURA. The largest non-new-built yacht sold was the 68.2 meter ICON Yachts my RAGNAR. She was sold after 798 days on the market with an asking price was €69.500.000, which stayed the same throughout the whole sales period.

The least expensive yacht sold was the 19 meter Engelaer Scheespsbouw sy PHILAE TWO, which had a final asking price of €395.000 and was on the market for 389 days. During that period she has received price reduction and her final asking price was 88.3% of its original asking price of €447.571.

On average, the yachts sold in July 2023 were on the market for 637 days. The longest sale of last month was the 54.5 meter Amels my FARIBANA V. She was on the market for 1787 days with a final asking price of €13.950.000. During that period she has received price reduction and her final asking price was 93.3% of its original asking price of €14.950.000.

The Dutch-built yachts market received a total of €121.791.855 in sales last month. The yachts still had a value of 93.8% of their first asking price. 

UNDER OFFER | July 2023

There are 5 yachts under offer this month, 4 motor yachts and sailing yacht.

The smallest yacht under offer is the 19.3m Jongert Yachts sy LADY ANNE. The yacht has been offered for sale since February 2021 and had a last asking price of €230.000. She has received price reductions and her final asking price was 54.1% of her initial asking price of €425.000.

The largest yacht currently under offer is still the 55m Heesen my RELIANCE. RELIANCE has been on the market since October 2022, with an asking price of €54.000.000.

YACHTS WITHDRAWN | July 2023

In July 2023 we see that 9 yachts have been withdrawn from the market, all motor yachts.

The yacht that had been available for the longest period was 37 meter my G-FORCE built by Heesen. G-FORCE was listed for sale since March 2011 with an initial asking price of €15.950.000. After 4512 days, a little more than 12 years, on the market and 3 price reductions, her final asking price was set at €6.950.000, representing a decrease of roughly 56.4% from its original price.

CURRENTLY FOR SALE | July 2023

On the first of August, the Dutch-built yacht market boasts 292 vessels for sale, of which 212 motor yachts and 80 sailing yachts.

Out of 1155 Dutch-built motor yachts over 18m in our database, 18.4% are currently offered for sale, and out of 408 sailing yachts, 19.6% are currently available for purchase.

Presently the largest sailing yacht available for purchase is still the 86m Oceanco AQUIJO. AQUIJO’s asking price is available on request and she has been listed for sale on the January 10th of this year.

The largest motor yacht available on the market is also still the towering 91,5 meter Oceanco my TRANQUILITY. This vessel has been for sale for 1.076 days with an asking price of €149.900.000.

At the other end of the spectrum, the smallest available yacht is the 18 meter sy DANUBIO II, built by Jongert Yachts. DANUBIO II is currently being offered with an asking price of €439.000 and has been listed for sale since July 2020 and has received price changes since.

Compared to the previous month, we can see a slight increase in the number of yachts entering the market and yachts being sold. The amount of price changes on the other hand are again less than the month before. Besides this, there are also still some yachts currently under offer, indicating a potential ongoing increase in sales numbers for the coming month.
