The June Dutch yacht sales report

NEW FOR SALE | June 2024

In June 2024, the Dutch yacht sales market saw the introduction of 18 new yachts for sale, 15 motor yachts and 3 sailing yachts. 

The highest priced and largest Dutch-built yacht amongst the new listings is the 105m motor yacht H3 built by Oceanco and asking €295.000.000.

On the other end of the spectrum, the 19.9m Vitters Shipyard motor yacht URANIA was the shortest new listing with an asking price of €1.125.000. The least expensive yacht is the 22.5m motor yacht WHITE LADY built by Vooruit with an asking price of €860.000

The largest sailing yacht listed for sale this month is the 40.28m ANAKENA built by Royal Huisman Shipyard and asking $4.700.000.

The shipyards with the most new listings this month was Heesen Yachts with 3 of their yachts newly listed for sale. 

From the 18 Dutch-built yachts that came to the market in June, yachts had a length between 18 and 24 meters, yachts between 24 and 30 meters, also yachts between 30 and 50 meters, againyachts between 50 and 70 meters, 1 yacht between 70 and 100 meters, and 1 yacht larger than 100 meters .

When we compare this month to last month’s numbers, we see an ongoing increase of 38.5% in the number of new listings. Compared to June last year, there was a slight increase of 5.9% in yachts entering the market.

SOLD | June 2024

In June 2024, a total of 8 Dutch-built yachts were sold, consisting of 7 motor yachts and 1 sailing yacht. Compared to May we see an increase of 14.3% in the amount of sales.

The largest and most expensive yacht sold this month was the 74m Amels motor yacht NEW SECRET. She was sold after just 132 days on the market. During that period she had received price reduction and her final asking price was 90.8% of its original asking price of €109.000.000.

One of the shortest and least expensive yachts sold in June 2024 was the 18.7m motor yacht ENDURO built by Porsius. She was sold after 382 days on the market with her original asking price of €585.000.

The only sailing yacht sold this month was the 29.96m AFAET built by Jongert Yachts. After being withdrawn from the market and reentering the market a year later, she was ultimately sold after 556 days on the market. During that period she had received price reductions and her final asking price of €1.850.000 was just 56.9% of its original asking price.

The yacht that was offered for sale the longest in June was the 26.7m Van den Belt motor yacht ALLEGRA EL CORTIJO. She entered the market in September 2021 with an initial asking price of €950.000. She was sold after 1005days, almost 3 years, on the market. During her time for sale she received price reductions and her final asking price was 63.2% of her first asking price. 

On average, the yachts sold in June 2024 were on the market for 411 days and still had a value of 85.2% of their first asking price. Compared to June 2023, we can see the same amount of yachts being sold.

PRICE CHANGES | June 2024

Last month 17 Dutch-built yacht listings received a price reduction, 12 motor yacht and 5 sailing yachts. Compared to May we see a decrease of 32% in price changes. Looking back at last year, there was a significant increase of 112.5% in price changes in June 2024.

The highest priced and largest yacht that received a price reduction this month was the 83.5m Feadship SAVANNAH. The motor yacht is currently asking €140.000.000, after receiving a €29.000.000, 17.2%, price reduction this month. This is her first price reduction since she entered the market in September 2023.

The largest price reduction this month of 18.4% has been for the 47.5m Feadship motor yacht NOSTALGIA . She is on the market since July 2023, starting with an asking price of €13.600.000. After 352 days on the market, NOSTALGIA had received price reductions of in total 28.3% and is now asking €9.750.000.

The largest sailing yacht receiving a price reduction this month was the 29.96m AZZURA, built by Jongert Yachts. This sailing yacht is currently asking $2.950.000, after receiving a 13.2% price reduction earlier this month. AZZURA has been listed for sale 678 days, since August 2022. Her current asking price is 68.1% of her initial asking price.

On average, the yachts had a price change of -12% this month and received their first price reduction after 261 days on the market.

YACHTS WITHDRAWN | June 2024

In June 2024 there were no yachts withdrawn from the market.

CURRENTLY FOR SALE | July 2024

On the first of July, the Dutch-built yacht market boasts 341 vessels for sale, of which 254 motor yachts and 87 sailing yachts.

Out of 1183 Dutch-built motor yachts over 18m in our database, 21.5% are currently offered for sale, and out of 418 sailing yachts, 19.9% are currently available for purchase.

Currently the largest sailing yachts available for purchase is the 56.43m Graafship ATLANTIC III. Her asking price is €12.000.000 and she has been listed for sale since December 2017 with an initial asking price of €16.500.000.

One of the largestmotor yachts available on the market is the 90m Oceanco DAR. This vessel has been listed for sale for 101 days with an asking price of €208.000.000.

At the other end of the spectrum, one of the smallest available yachts is the 18.05m motor yacht OYSTER, built by Mulder Shipyard. OYSTER is currently being offered for sale with an asking price of €995.000. She has been listed for sale since July 2023 and has received 1 price reduction.

This month in numbers

Compared to the previous month, we can see an ongoing increase in numbers of yachts entering the market. The amount of sales saw a slight increase, but the amount of price changes has declined compared to the previous month. With the Summer season starting, it is to be seen whether the increase in yacht sales will continue.
